"Marie Antoinette" Let them Eat CUPCAKES!

Let me introduce "Young Miss Marie"
my newest "MARIONETTE Antoinette Art Doll"
Oh how I love blue...isn't she beautiful.....
Let them eat cupcakes.....she never did say when the people were starving "Let them eat cake". but cupcakes..... now they are different!!
I made little slippers for her feet.
She is not finished...I still need to make her necklace just right and add her earing...a bow on her waist....
I will post her for sale Sunday or Monday....on my etsy shop...
I miss Miss A who was my Pink Marie....so I made another one...

and yet I love having others delighting in my dollies.... as much as they delight me!

Wow! your marie doll is incredible! I am in Jane's class too, I haven't done the work yet though, I've fallen behind :-(

Thanks for your comments and glad to meet you too. To answer your 3 questions: Medium of my study was oil, I've worked with most mediums. However acrylic is my personal favorite at this time. I live in Oklahoma. And to answer you question regarding doing prints yourself, I would suggest you consider investing on a good printer and a scanner. If your are a serious painter or photographer probably that would be a good investment in the long run(depending on your needs somewhere between $1500.00 -3000.00). Good Luck!

Thank you for the comment on my blog today! I appreciate you letting me know about the lace on your doll's dress. Yes, the lace that runs along the front and bottom edge of the overskirt is most definately tatting! It's a lovely edging, too! It looks like that edging took a lot of work, too. It's so nice that you appreciate tatting. It is a rare form of handmade lace. Rare because so few people do it. It seems that more and more are learning all the time though! :)
