Giving Love and Valentines

Happy Valentines Day! We had an old friend over for dinner...with his new sweetheart.  They just meet for the first time in person after 4 years of emails...that is a Valentines story. We played Men are from Mars and Women from Venus board game..it is always good for a laugh. 

 I found this beautiful hand glazed pottery piece at the Goodwill. I just love how the tulips grow and move each day in the vase.

I found some small little heart boxes of chocolates to use as gifts and decor...
I made a delicious Greek lemon garlic chicken dish with potatoes roasted in the same dish.

I am still on the radical diet I posted about in Jan....so I found a little heart shaped cookie cutter to decorate my plate...I am going to use it as a handle for my little piece of art below. I will screw it into the candle lamp..so cute.
Don't feel sorry for me! I just lost 10 lbs from my set weight..that was over weight at that from all the cheese and gelato in Europe! And I lost the Holiday weight! (10 lbs from old set weight and 17.5 lbs from my after Christmas weight) And now I am lighter then I have been since college!!!! Yeah...This morning I woke up feeling so light..it is amazing..that is the Valentines gift for me..I feel better in every way.

 

On my birthday Lulu came over to visit and do art with me.
She helped me paint on this little lamp. It was for a auction fund raiser...

 and this is what I painted on my side..It is still not done. I have to screw in the heart handle and hang a key off the tray.
It is the key to my heart..and that turns on my light...fun!
