THANKGIVING BLESSED!

So much to be thankful for.........
The wood is in the shed..............
The leaves are golden floating one at a time past the windows..............
a carpet falling...............
Hydrangeas turning burgundy..........

Dogwoods burning red..............
into the woods.............
new red maple................
view from the top...............
down to the valley of Christmas trees.............
chair waiting............
Celtic monk inviting.................
Come into my world.................
This is a place called Rejuvenation's architectural salvage shop.........old Portland comes alive again, craftsman style homes of Portland Oregon need to be remade...a look I wanted for my new Art Studio........
Da da my Art Studio!!!! Not finished yet but almost..........I painted a river in the stained concrete floors for the guest bath............
the lighting is beautiful and the tables are from Aurora Mills Architectural Salvage....they came out of a hardware store in upstate NY old and full of stories..........the gas stove is in warm and inviting ........ hearth is waiting to be built.......
Danish modern Falcon chair from sweden 1960's...........
Oh more ideas............can't work in here yet........needed larger table tops ......gluing on leather looking linoleum called Marmoleum. It will be sided with stained wood. I got the idea while I was at Rejuvenation's. You can see the counters on the photo up above.

I have great sympathy for what it feels like to not have a art studio..... working on what ever corner or table you can find........ I can't move in just yet............I made art in the kitchen all last week..........

I love my kitchen and little table........I had art supplies on the table.....then the counter........then on the desk in the living room....on the floor............on the dinning table................
Pushing a side art materials..........laying down a dinner mat.........fed my husband soup.
little sneak peek...................a project I was working on.
I submitted two class to teach at Art & Soul Portland 2009..........drove them up to Glenny's house on the due date last Sat.....with Lulu Moon.....(Glenny is the head of Art & Soul) Glenny gasped when she saw them. I think she really liked them, she smiled. This week a committee is judging the projects.........pray with me that I get to teach my classes.......then I will show you the whole project, promise. They came out so, so, so beautiful. I even did the happy dance when I saw how pretty they were...an answer to my prayer. The dance had a clap pattern and a little stomp. It is fun to thank God with your body.
Company coming ..........so the art room moved into my bedroom..............(little light on wall is from Venice Italy)

My bedroom reminds me of Venice, my favorite place.
and more................

Now she is making dolls................So much to be thankful for.................!!!!!!!!!

Hi Deidra... thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I absolutely love your home and where you live as well as your art... It's all so inspirational to me.

How are your dolls coming along? I've only just stuffed mine. Got some catching up to do this weekend.

Glad to meet you and love meeting new like minded friends! x

I'm sure you are so excited about that studio! It sounds to me like you were describing the Snoopy Dance. It's going to be a wonderfully inspiring place, I can tell.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Makes me feel like I'm there!

Praying for your teaching op....
Cindy
Your property and surroundings are beautiful. Your sneek peek is very interesting too. Good luck with the teaching proposal.

I also wanted to say thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Had no clue because Yahoo hasn't been sending me the emails stating that I had a comment. So sorry, but thanks for stopping and commenting, I truly appreciate it!

D-so much in your post, hard to know what to comment on first! Great fall photos - we returned from our trip to a city ablaze with colors of turning leaves. Your studio is going to be amazing - can't wait to see the end result. Very cool that you have continued to make art wherever you can - even the kitchen table. And good luck on your class proposals for Art and Soul. Very bold step and your sneak peeks look like they would be something many artists would love doing. Keep us all posted once you find out the good news.
