Oh, this is one of my favorite movies! The music is absolutely awesome. the big opera-choir pieces are made by a Van den Budenmayer. In an 1798 and a 1804-version or something. Except he is just an alias for the composer, whose real name I can´t remember. It´s the best movie ever for someone who longs...

I'm so glad you posted tihs, it's a long time since I saw this film and I was spellbound by the puppet sequence. I must track it down and watch the film again.

Love your blog - I came via your profile on Suziblu's Les Petit Dolls

This was lovely...I especially love the look of awe on the children's faces!!

You asked about "Goldie" -- I loved the book and will be blogging about it soon!

I have asked some questions, Deirdra, about The Double Life Of VĂ©ronique at my website The Theatre Of The Third Kind if it, indeed, might interest you.

I am, &c.
